* Digitising project undertaken by Asam Sahitya Sabha. Assam’s century-old literary and cultural body, will now become digitise its rich archive. * Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari will virtually lay the foundation stone for the first-ever multi-modal logistic park of India in Assam on 21st October.
* Bharatmala Pariyojna – It is a brand new umbrella programme for the highways sector which mainly focuses on optimizing the efficiency of freight and passenger movement across the nation by bridging critical infrastructure gaps through effective interventions like development of Economic Corridors, Inter Corridors and Feeder Routes, National Corridor Efficiency Improvement, Border and International connectivity roads, Coastal and Port connectivity roads and Green-field expressways.
* Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched a website of Sri Sri Anirudhadeva Sports University. While launching the web-site, Sonowal said the sports university has made a good beginning and would be successful in promoting sports as well as sports related activities in the State. He hoped that the university would be able to develop competitive and scientific environment for the growth of sports in Assam.

* The National Hydroelectrical Power Corporation (NHPC), engaged in the construction of the Lower Subansiri Hydroelectrical Power Plant at Gerukamukh, launched a website for its brand SAAR Subansiri Handloom.
* The website was launched by Arvind Bhat, Executive Director, LSHEP, at Gerukamukh. The inaugural function was attended by Vipin Gupta, General Manager (I/c), LSHEP, and the women weavers who are also the Board of Directors of SAAR Handloom Producers Company Limited. The website has been developed to promote, brand and market the traditional weaving styles of Assamese women.
* A state-of-the-art Robotics and Data Analytics Laboratory for start-ups in the agriculture sector has been established at the North East Agriculture Technology Entrepreneurs Hub (NEATEHUB) – Atal Incubation Centre – at the Assam Agricultural University campus.
* The laboratory, in the long run, could create agri-tech solutions to myriads of agri and allied sector problems. The lab was among a handful of facilities in the north-eastern region. It may be mentioned here that NEATHUB established last year in the AAU campus, is first of its kind in the north-eastern region, and among the 28 such hubs established for agri entrepreneurs across the country.
* The instiute was established as a Section 8 non-profit company with funding from the NITI Ayog and from the Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare’s flagship scheme: Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvination (RKVY- RAFTAAR).
