Highlights of Padma Awards 2021 :

1. President Ram Nath Kovind has approved conferment of 119 Padma Awards, including 1 duo case (in a duo case, the award is counted as one) for the year 2021.

2. The Padma awardees includes 29 women.

3. 10 persons are from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI.

4. The list includes 16 Posthumous awardees and 1 transgender awardee.

Padma Awards are one of the Highest Civilian Awards of India and are conferred in three categories — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
